Temple Sholom offers active youth programs for children in 2nd–8th grades, as well as teen programs for 8th–12th graders.
Youth groups at Temple Sholom combine social, educational, religious and social action programs to create opportunities for the synagogue’s children to create lasting friendships with each other and a strong connection to the Jewish community. All these groups provide a variety of age-appropriate, informal educational activities. Children of all Temple Sholom members are encouraged to participate in our youth activities programs. Participation in our youth groups is also open to non-members.
2nd–5th graders meet monthly, usually on Sundays immediately following religious school. Some past programs have included Wacky Olympics, movie screenings, arts & craft projects, chocolate seders and more.
6th–8th graders are invited to participate in BBYO Connect. BBYO Connect offers social and meaningful experiences that will serve as a gateway to continued involvement in Jewish life. Our BBYO Connect Programs often take place off site such as at a bowling alley or a get together for laser tag.
Our youth lounge was recently re-done and is now stocked with ping pong, foosball and air hockey as well as big screen tvs and hangout space.
