The UJA Federation of Greenwich is committed to the preservation, enrichment, and continuity of the Jewish people and to the enhancement of Jewish Life in Greenwich, North America, Israel, and throughout the world. Central to its mission is a community built on the Jewish ideal of tzedakah: charity, righteousness and social justice. It is our support for local programs and agencies as well as the humanitarian work of the United Jewish Communities that enriches local, national and international Jewish life.
Westchester/Fairfield Hebrew Academy
Founded by a group of dedicated parents and lay leaders, the Westchester/Fairfield Hebrew Academy was born of a desire to create an academically excellent, child centered, integrated dual-curriculum program to serve Westchester and Fairfield counties. The Academy strives to create students who are fearless in their quest for knowledge and understanding, and who find joy and strength in Judaism.The Westchester/Fairfield Hebrew Academy is housed at Temple Sholom.
Stamford JCC
The Stamford Jewish Community Center has served Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Bedford, and Pound Ridge for more than 90 years. The Center offers recreational, educational, cultural and social services that enhance and enrich Jewish identity. Membership is open to all, regardless of race or religion. Members are direct beneficiaries of the Center's commitment to quality, which is reflected by maintaining excellence in its programs and services.
Jewish Family Services of Greenwich
“Working to improve the quality of life within our community. JFS is a nondiscriminatory human service agency providing programs and services for families and individuals of all ages. Services include; eldercare, parenting, counseling, interfaith, resettlement and youth.
Council of Churches and Synagogues
Located in Stamford, this national organization has the unique capacity to build understanding and respect among people of different backgrounds and beliefs.
Hadassah
The Women's Zionist Organization of America is made up of volunteer members who are motivated and inspired to strengthen their partnership with Israel, insure Jewish community, and realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society.The Greenwich Chapter of Hadassah holds many of its meetings at Temple Sholom.
Bereavement Support Group
A weekly support group co-facilitated by Lisa-Loraine Smith, LCSW, Executive Director of JFS and Rabbi Yossi Deren of Chabad Lubavitch of Greenwich. Thursdays from 10:15 am - 11:15 an, at JFS. No charge.
Senior Discussion Group
A weekly discussion group for Jewish residents in their eighties and nineties. Mondays. 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm at JFS. No charge.
