Temple Sholom offers active youth programs for children in 2nd through 8th grades, as well as teen programs for 8th-12th graders.
Youth groups at Temple Sholom combine social, educational, religious and social action programs to create opportunities for the synagogue’s children to create lasting friendships with each other and a strong connection to the Jewish community. All these groups provide a variety of age-appropriate, informal educational activities. Children of all Temple Sholom members are encouraged to participate in our youth activities programs. Participation in our youth groups is also open to non-members. Scroll down to see our upcoming events!
Our four youth groups are:
B’yachad: (2nd - 3rd grade)
Children meet monthly to create arts & crafts projects, make ice-cream sundaes, watch movies, play games or cook.
Ruach: (4th - 5th grade)
Meets once a month, usually rotating between an on-site program and an off-premises program.
Kadima: (6th - 8th grade)
A stepping stone for participation in BBYO, Kadima’s monthly programs provide social, athletic and recreational opportunities, often incorporating a mitzvah component.
