Todah Rabah!
In honor of National Volunteer Week, Temple Sholom offers its deep gratitude to the many volunteers whose dedication and devotion to our Temple community make our congregation a sacred home for all who enter its doors.
These stalwarts of our Temple community are ever-present, working behind the scenes to make our congregation run smoothly, and ensuring that every aspect of Temple life is performed with sanctity, transparency, trust, and dedication. From committee service to sacred service, from those who assist with administration to those whose welcoming presence transcends our walls, and from our newest volunteers to our veteran Board members, we owe you a debt of appreciation and gratitude for all you do, and the unconditional, open-hearted acts of commitment that you give to our Temple every day.
On April 29th, we will honor five of these special volunteers: Phyllis Shapiro and Marty Flashner, Barbara Murray, Morah Ora Navok, and Gav Rosenfeld. We invite you to join us at our Spring Gala Celebration in honor of these extraordinary individuals, to celebrate their service, and to most of all, say thank you.
And to all of our volunteers, on behalf of our community - we say Todah Rabah, v'chazak, chazak v'nitchazek - thank you, and may you go from strength to strength!

Temple Sholom offers volunteers any number of engaging and fulfilling ways to serve our community. There are many ways to get involved!
Opportunities in the synagogue offer volunteers a diverse array of activities, including assisting our front office staff, helping to maintain our library, and greeting congregants during Shabbat services. Our community opportunities include serving our senior citizen community through meal deliveries, home visits and assisting with errands, as well as a variety of Social Action projects that take place throughout the year.
For Temple Sholom teens, we offer volunteer positions in our Religious School, as part of our office staff, in our Religious School classrooms, and helping with our Creative Arts Program for young children. A limited number of seasonal internship opportunities are also available for teens and college students.
Temple Sholom can arrange for community service credit for your teen's volunteer hours. Please email Rav David at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
