Temple Sholom is a welcoming, inclusive, progressive Conservative Jewish congregation.
Our spiritual mission is at once community focused and individually relevant.
Our highly acclaimed programming for adults includes community service opportunities which culminate in our annual “Mitzvah Day,” as well as a wide variety of lectures, classes, study groups, community and social events. Temple Sholom has opened its doors to guest speakers like Natan Sharansky, Benjamin Netanyahu, Ehud Barak, and Elie Weisel; historical events that have placed Temple Sholom in the heart of the global Jewish community.
Temple Sholom believes that our future is in our children and the education we offer them is outstanding. We have an exceptional nursery school program in The Selma Maisel Nursery School. The Temple Sholom Religious School is a happy place where students are encouraged to explore their Judaism through study and friendship. Grades K-7 meet regularly. Additionally, we have active Jewish youth groups for children of all ages. We are committed to the partnership between parent and synagogue, to help instill a positive Jewish identity for our children, allow them to build a strong sense of Jewish communal connections, and a mastery of Jewish living skills that are meaningful to their lives.
Shabbat is a vital part of synagogue life. Our services include Shabbat services Friday night and Saturday morning; monthly, musical “Friday Night Live” Shabbat services; Young Families “Kabbalat Shabbat Learner’s Minyan”; Sunday morning Minyan; Shabbat Kiddush Lunches; and our special service for our youngest members, “Tot Shabbat.”
We would be honored if you would join us and we are here to answer your questions about our congregation and community. Please let us know how we can be of service to you.
