Shabbat and Holidays

Being Temple-based, the Selma Maisel Nursery School curriculum cultivates Jewish heritage and identity.  Through Israeli dance, holidays, shabbat and festivals, our children gain an appreciation of being Jewish.  

Rabbi Mitch and Cantor Asa are frequent visitors to our classrooms and provide an engaging introduction to Jewish culture including our Shabbat celebrations and holidays.

Throughout the year, each child has an opportunity to invite his/her family to join in the classroom celebration of Shabbat.  Additionally, in celebration of many holidays such as Chanukah, Passover or Tu b'svat, parents come to participate with their children.
