Sababa

Sababa is a Hebrew slang word that means, “cool,” “all right,” “no problem,” “OK,” “great,” etc… Sababa brings together Jewish study with fun and interactive activities. Sababa is open to all 8th-12th graders. For the 2011-2012 school year, we will continue our topic of “Jews in Film and Television.” After enjoying dinner together in a relaxed environment, we will watch either a movie or tv show, and discuss the Jewish themes.

Sababa meets twice a month on Tuesdays from 6:15-8:00pm.
Cost: $440.00 for year

Sababa-Israel

Open to current 9th-12th graders, students who choose this academically rigorous track will study one hour of Hebrew language and one hour of the History of Israel. Students will have one hour of homework per week. This class is eligible for credit at GHS as part of their independent study program. Students have required attendance and must submit their independent study proposal to GHS for approval. Students do not need to take the class as an independent study.

Sababa Israel meets weekly on Wednesday evenings 5:00-7:15pm.
Cost: $1200.00 for the year
Dinner is included.

Rav David will offer walk-in office hours for extra help on Thursdays from 4:00-6:00pm.
