Bruchim Haba'im (Welcome!)
Temple Sholom is a traditional egalitarian Conservative synagogue located in beautiful Greenwich, Connecticut. Our membership is diverse, coming from all across the Jewish spectrum. We use a “Big Tent” (Ohel Gadol) approach to create a warm, caring, vibrant and innovative sacred community (Kehillah Kedoshah) where individual and family lives are enriched through spiritual, educational and intergenerational bonding, socialization, as well as personal Jewish exploration and growth. We strive to inspire and nurture our members as they explore, enrich and discover their Jewish selves. Temple Sholom is our Jewish home that offers a place of belonging and an atmosphere of extended family as we join together to worship, study and lead Jewish lives.
Temple Sholom is the largest synagogue in Greenwich serving Greenwich, Rye Brook, Armonk, Stamford and the surrounding communities. A full-service synagogue with modern facilities, we offer a wide variety of worship services including traditional minyanim, musical family services, a learner’s minyan, and young child services, as well as our regularly scheduled Shabbat, Festival and High Holy Day services. We have a fully accredited Nursery School, a dynamic and exciting Religious School and an innovative high school educational program called Sababa (meaning “cool” in Hebrew), as well as award-winning youth groups.
We offer a wide range of rich, high-quality family programming for all ages, a variety of ongoing adult education classes and lectures as well as numerous social events. In recent years, we have hosted Jewish recording artists Rick Recht, Craig Taubman and Sheldon Low along with several significant speakers including Henry Kissinger, Edhud Barack, Benjamin Netanyahu, David Harris, Nicholas Kristof and Michael Oren. We frequently partner with the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) to offer lectures by several JTS professors and scholars.
We welcome you and encourage you to find your Jewish home at Temple Sholom.
